Policies

Payment

If you use a credit card or paypal on checkout the system only authorizes the payment allowing us to Void it if the order cannot be processed or if it is cancelled. The payment will not captured until the order is reviewed and accepted. Usually payment will not be captured until the order is ready to ship.

If you choose to pay by interac, we will contact you after your order has been accepted with instructions to submit the payment.

A business can also place orders by PO either online or by email. Ashlin will determine if the PO will be accepted on terms and will inform you of the order status at that time.

Order Acceptance

Ashlin reserves the right to refuse to process any order for any reason. In the event of a cancelled order by Ashlin or by the customer before shipment, the payment will be voided or returned.

Returns and Refunds

Ashlin will accept returns only when it is authorized by the distributor that we purchased the product from. We are restricted by the policies of the distributors and manufacturers with respect to returns. Similarely some manufacuturers do not allow us to accept even returns for repair, they insist you deal directly with them, and others allow us to accept DOA (dead on arrival) returns for a limited time such as 30 days. DOA returns are replaced not repaired. Restocking charges might apply to a return where a refund rather than DOA replacement is requested if we are required by the distributor to pay restocking. In all cases, please retain all original packaging and do not write on or damange the original manufacturer packaging. If you are unsure of a purchase please contact us in advance so we can help you determnine if the products you are considering meet your needs. Also we can ask in advance about trial periods or demo loaners to allow you to test a solution.

Shipping

Shipping will be charged at our flat shipping rates whenever possible. If our cost to ship to you is higher due to weight, location, or for any reason, we will contact you before processing your order with a shipping quote. At that time you will be able to approve the order with the shipping rate adjusted or you can cancel the order at no cost.

Environmental Fees

Ashlin will add applicable environmental fees to your order when they are required by the jurisdiction where the order is being shipped to. This also applies to the warehouse location for pickup orders.

We understand our customers' concerns regarding the privacy of the information they share with us. We hold our customers, and the information they share with us, in the highest regard. Maintaining your privacy is critical to us. We will not sell, share, or rent your information to others in any ways different from those disclosed in this statement. We collect information to: Rapidly and accurately fulfill your order and to Improve your shopping experience.

Our goal is to provide our customers with the highest level of service possible. From your first visit to our web site to the delivery of your order, we want you to be completely satisfied with the experience. By collecting information, we are able to offer you features, such as our Express Account (which saves you time during the order process), and a more customized web site that better reflects your individual preferences. During the order process and while creating an Express Account, you are prompted to supply us with your contact, billing, and shipping information. This information must be provided in order to complete a purchase and is used to complete your order and contact you regarding your order. To process your order, we require you supply us with your correct billing, shipping and contact information. The transfer of this information is secure and cannot be received or read by others. Your informaton is only shared when necessary to complete your order (i.e., your credit card and billing information is shared with our bank for authorization and your delivery address is shared with our shipper).

Conflict Minerals

Ashlin is committed to adherence to all ethical international business practices. With regard to conflict minerals we are not aware of use of them by any of the manufacturers we represent. In the event that we are made aware of such use, we will discontinue representing the manufacturer in question. "Conflict materials" are defined as using materials from the Democratic Republic of the Congo or any adjoining countries (DRC Countries) in the manufacture of their products. "Conflict Minerals" include: 1) columbite-tantalite, also known as coltan (the metal ore from which tantalum is extracted); 2) cassiterite (the metal ore from which tin is extracted); 3) gold; 4) wolframite (the metal ore from which tungsten is extracted); 5) their derivatives; or 6) any other mineral or its derivatives determined by the Secretary of State to be financing conflict in the DRC Countries.
